Michael was born in Inkberrow, England, and moved to the U.S at the age of 5.His professional career began in 1987 at the age of 19 with the Chicago Sting of Major Indoor Soccer League.After playing with the Sting for one year, he joined the Chicago Power of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL).He spent 6 seasons with the Chicago Power, winning a league Championship in 1990.While in Chicago, Michael made 5 All-star appearances and was voted to the All-Pro team.In 1994, he was traded to Milwaukee where he spent 5 seasons.There he won another 2 championships in 1998 and 2000 and was voted to the All-Pro team with 2 more all-star appearances.

Michael’s outdoor soccer resume includes 3 years with the Chicago Stingers of the USL (United Soccer League) from 1995-1998.He was voted All-Pro in 1996 and 1998, and won the National Championship in 1998.Michael’s talent and versatility as a field player has earned him 2 call-ups for the Chicago Fire (MLS).Michael has 23 years coaching experience and is a USSF licensed coach.

As Director of Operations at Soccer Enterprises, Inc, Michael believes that the ‘can do’ mentality guarantees the success of any individual looking to develop himself or herself as person of influence.With his experience as a player, coach and business manager, Michael values the demands of teamwork within the soccer team and the business team: focus, determination, problem solving, and adaptability.As a result, he has developed himself as a leader on the larger team operating a full service soccer organization concerned with the development of soccer.Michael and his team are devoted to ensure their mission that each staff member be dedicated to the development of individual soccer players and the sport as a whole.

Michael is currently the head coach of Westminster Christian high school in Elgin and also serves as the president of Lil’ Kickers, a training program for kids 18 months to 9 years old.  You can find more information at www.soccercitypalatine.com
