Who to Watch, Indy Eleven edition: DF Cory Miller

Speaking of, the defense has been extremely solid for Indy Eleven this year having conceded the second-fewest goals in the league while keeping two clean sheets in seven matches. The experienced pair of Greg Janicki and Colin Falvey has been at the center of the staunch setup, but now with Janicki likely missing time on Saturday, it’s up to Cory Miller to step into the spotlight and help maintain their impressive defensive record.

Last year for the “Boys in Blue,” Miller started in 19 of 20 appearances and featured for over 1720 minutes. This season, however, he has made just one appearance – the quarter of an hour that Miller played on Saturday – though it’s worth noting that Miller looked more than capable of keeping up the show. Making four clearances and two interceptions while winning one aerial duel, Miller helped keep the Loons at bay as their hunt for a comeback was thwarted in the end.
