Miller Earns Team of the Week Spot in Early October

Cory Miller (Indy Eleven) – The Eleven went on a road trip to Florida and left with two 1-1 draws – against the Rowdies and Jacksonville Armada FC. The Illinois native put in a strong 180 minutes over the two matches, playing with a different center back partner in both, to help stunt opposition attacks.

Following a three week spell away from NASL Player of the Week recognition, Indy Eleven defender Cory Miller secured a spot on Week 14’s NASL Team of the Week after two matches of strong defensive play helped Indy Eleven secure a pair of road draws just days apart.

Last Wednesday in Tampa Bay, Miller played alongside Indy Eleven captain Erick Norales for 90 minutes, before adjusting to newly inserted defender Greg Janicki for another 1-1 draw Saturday in Jacksonville. For his help stunting opponent attacks, Miller earned the Week 14 nod, his first of the NASL season in the Illinois native’s first season wearing checkers.
