Michael Bradley pursued by Inter Milan, AS Roma

U.S. national team midfielder Michael Bradley, who is on the verge of completing a successful first season at Chievo Verona, reportedly is being pursued by fallen giant Inter Milan.

A source told MLSSoccer.com that Inter is making the “hardest push” for Bradley and will offer Chievo a sum in the “high seven figures” for his rights. Bradley also is being pursued by American-owned AS Roma, according to other reports.

Bradley has earned rave reviews for his solid performances at the heart of the Chievo midfield this season. He has helped the modest club to a 11-13-13 record and 12th place in Serie A with one game remaining. The Flying Donkeys host Lecce in the Sunday’s finale.

Inter has fallen on hard times since winning the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup in 2010. The Nerazzurri have fired two coaches this season and are in sixth place at 17-13-7. They need a win and a lot of help Sunday to climb into third and earn Italy’s final berth in the 2012-13 Champions League.
