LA’s Magee nets goal in homecoming win

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. — Mike Magee returned to his hometown and made the night a bit more magical for his friends and family. Magee netted his second goal of the season and added his team-leading sixth assist to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 2-0 win against the Chicago Fire.

The Galaxy were looking for a win after dropping a 2-0 decision to Seattle Sounders FC at home on Saturday, a loss that ended a six-game unbeaten streak. They did just that, and for Magee it couldn’t have happened in a better location.
