DeMerit highlighted in New York Times

Watford centerback Jay DeMerit has been under some speculation recently regarding his eye.  The captain of the Championship side underwent surgery this season to fix a problem with his cornea.  The procedure, considered exceptionally risky proved remarkably successful for DeMerit.  While still adjusting to the work, the 30 year has recently been named to the 30 man preliminary U.S. roster for the 2010 World Cup and makes it known that he will be more than ready to help a U.S. side make it through the group stage; something they haven’t done since 2002.  To read the article, click on the link below.
