Bridges set for European Tour

After a successful summer campaign here in the states, Bridges F.C. are ready and prepared for their European tour.  With top competition against Chicago squads as well as friendlies against professional sides Charlotte Eagles and Carolina Railhawks, this Bridges group looks poised for success against the best Holland and Denmark have to offer.

The 2010 squad offers a variety of skills and personalities as it is a mix unlike before.  Striker Hassan Minter, along with Drew Degurian, Pat McMann, J.C. Aikenhead, Cory Weaver, and Jordan Wilson makes his return trip to Europe helping guide the 2009 Bridges team.  Veterans Patrick Wilson, Jr., and Pat Hopkins look to bring their experience from 2008 where they helped lead Bridges against some of the Dutch foes the Americans look to defeat this year.

This year’s squad also offers an array of unseen faces to the European pitches as Will Kletzien, Bayard Elfvin, Jacob Stanko, Brian Edwards, Tim Sampson, Kolt Martin, Xavier Smart, and others look to improve their games and see what European football has to offer.  When asked, Coach Bret Hall remarked, “I think we have had a good summer.  We have played some very good teams, gotten some good results and have matured as a team.  Now is the test.  This is what we prepare all summer for.  I think our guys will be ready.”
